Key duties and Responsibilities
The Project Coordinator is responsible for leading the Project team at Berbere Project office and oversees the management, development and implementation of a project activities as well as overall coordination activities.
Specific Tasks
- Responsible for the planning coordination the project implementation with relevant stakeholder.
- Build working relationships and serves as development liaison between MELCA and the government and other key stakeholders to achieve organizational objective
- Oversee the implementation of all project activities in the project area by coordinating and provision of technical support for the community and project workers
- Ensure effective management of the human, material and financial resources to and from the project through working with all stakeholders
- Conduct survey, need assessment and other research based activities as per the need arise from the head office
- Ensure the Preparation and timely submission of monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual progress and financial report.
- Document and file case stories of successful beneficiaries as a result of the project intervention
Job Requirement
Minimum Requirements:
- Holding BSc Degree in Project Management, Natural Resources Management, Plant Science, Forestry, Watershade Management, Soil and Water Conservation, Environmental Science, Environmental Management, or any other related fields from a recognized University.
- At least 4 years of relevant experience in project coordination, stakeholder mobilization, Nursery establishment and Management, community mobilization, Livelihood Improvements and conservation related works
- Having skills in Nursery Establishment and Management, Water shade management, use of GPS and GIS technologies, mapping and excellent computer skill-word processing, Excel, power point, etc.
Project Location: Berbere Woreda
Language: Knowledge of Local language is Advantageous
Remuneration: Salary is Negotiable.
Terms of Employment: Full time contractual employment for one year with high possibility of renewal.
