Key duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for facilitation of sustainable natural resources management activities and mobilize community action.
  • Undertake the planning and accomplishment of all activities related to environmental, youth empowerment , PHE and ecosystem rehabilitation initiatives
  • Ensure environmental issues and policies at the lower government level well implemented and considered by local actors at grassroots community
  • Make sure campaigns and events organized at project locations are effective, participatory, result based and maintain quality
  • Arrange appropriate capacity building trainings for project beneficiaries on environment conservation measures

Job Requirement

Minimum Requirements:

  • BA/BSc in Natural Resource Management, Forestry, Environmental Science   ,Watershed Management, Soil and Water Conservation, or highly related field of studies
  • At least 3 years of experience in related fields, particularly in NGO background is advantageous
  • Experience in Nursery Establishment and Management, Soil and Water conservation, watershed Management, and promotion of Agro-ecology practice in a rural context
  • Excellent analytic and computer skills, skilled in MS Office including Word, Excel and e-mail.
  • Fluent in speaking, listening, reading and writing in English

Project Location: Berbere Woreda

Language: Knowledge of Local language is Advantageous

Remuneration:  Salary is Negotiable.

Terms of Employment: Full time contractual employment for one year with high possibility of renewal.
