Job Summary
The Head of the school is responsible for all technical and non-technical staff members and
other resources of the school and shall be accountable to The Board of Governance

Represents the school on any communications conducted with third parties.

Manages the day-to-day activities of the school.

Represents the school on any communications and concludes the contract with third parties.

Ensures the implementation of the management board decisions.

Researches conditions that contribute to the growth of the school and implements them upon approval by the management board.

Co-signs bank accounts opened in the school’s name with the operation deputy director, finance head, and human resource and administration head as per the applied directive.

Collects, compiles and passes data required for the board decisions.

Prepares and submits annual reports, annual budget and work plans to the management board and implements them after obtaining the board approval.

Nominates educational section heads and management section heads accountable to the managing director and submits their assignment to the management board approval.

Represents the endowment school before courts and/or appoints the school lawyer as necessary.

Represents the school and signed a contract with third parties on behalf of the school, procures or leases movable and immovable assets as per the decision of the board, and transfers through selling or disposing movable and immovable properties of the school upon fulfilling the necessary pre-conditions required by law and obtaining the permission of the board.

Recruits and dismisses the school employees and decides on salary and disciplinary) issues on the basis of the policy and directive issued by the board.

Promotes, empowers, and dismisses employees as necessary as per the Labour Law and human resource policy issued by the management board.

Performs other related tasks assigned by the management board.

Performs the other management duties of the endowment school.

The managing director shall be entitled to assign his/her authorities by delegation to other staff of the endowment school, or other individuals or organizations including the legal advisor and attorney as necessary.

The managing director may be dismissed by the management board in case he/she fail to properly discharge the assigned responsibilities.

Performs assigned tasks, duties, and responsibilities given Board of Governance.
Job Requirement
- Education: PhD or Masters or Bachelors in education or Science
- Essential certifications: Post Graduate Certificate of Education (PGCE) and Qualified Teachers Status (QTS).
- Experience: More than 12 years as a Head of School in international schools. The ideal candidate for the Head of Schools position typically possesses a blend of hands-on experience in educational leadership, including roles such as teaching, administrative positions, or curriculum development. Experience in strategic planning, staff management, and student achievement evaluation is crucial. On-the-job training in educational policies, budget management, and school operations is essential. Participation in professional development programs to stay abreast of educational trends and leadership skills is also expected. This role demands a proven track record in improving school performance and fostering a positive educational environment.
- Preferable: Experience as Head of school/ Principal with any English Curriculum.
- Skills: Teaching, Leadership, Research, project management, and international donor relations, multi-cultural working environment and excellent communications.
- Educational Leadership: Guiding the institution’s educational vision to align with both current academic standards and the unique needs of the student body is a primary responsibility. The role involves inspiring a diverse team of educators to work towards enhancing student learning and achievement.
- Required: Applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening including reference checks with previous employers and an enhanced criminal record check.
