Job Summary

Pursuant to the strategic direction of the company; plans, organizes, directs, coordinates, controls and supervises the overall activities of Finance, HRM, Procurement & Property Administration departments as well as IT supports. Executes the resolutions and decisions of the Board and the GM. Ensures, human, financial, IT and physical resources of the company are managed efficiently. Oversees mobilization of adequate resources to school branches. Ensures that policies and regulations of the company are adhered to and assists the GM in discharging administrative & support facilities obligations of the company.

The DGM, who is vested with powers to lay down and execute managerial policies and take certain disciplinary measures as per delegation given.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • plans, Organizes, directs, coordinates and controls Finance, HR, logistics, Procurements, Property administration, ICT & related support activities of the company.
  • Directs preparation and consolidation of the budgets of all Departments that directly reports.
  • Oversight HR, Accounts & Finance, Investment, ICT, logistics & procurement functions.
  • Ensures that timely allocation of resources & facilities are to the core functions of the company (Education, Real Estate, Labeling, departments and other projects) carried out.
  • Directs investment roadmap of the Esdros in compliance with the decision of the board and strategic plan of the company.
  • Responds to correspondences within and outside the Esdros.
  • Ensures that competent and adequate manpower stock is maintained in conformity with strategic direction of Esdros.
  • Initiates introduction and launching of contemporary and efficient finance, HR, Material, IT & related support activities.
  • Organizes, Directs preparation and consolidation of financial budgets of the company.
  • Ensures that budget directives are issued to users for the proper execution and implementation of approved budget.
  • Initiates updating of accounting policies & procedures &, HR related policies & procedures, procurement & logistics related policies & procedure, financial policies, ICT policies & strategies, administrative manuals, and review of organization structure, salary scale and remuneration packages in response to changing realities.
  • Oversees the implementation of financial control systems and procedures of the organization.
  • Ensures that shareholders are provided with efficient service in settlement of outstanding capital subscription and collection of dividends.
  • Reviews liquidity position of Esdros for appropriate measure by the Board.
  • Handles other cross functional tasks as required either from the Board or the General Manager.
  • Represent the Company in any instance either in the presence or absence of the GM.

Job Requirement

  • Education: MA/BA in Management/Accounting/Finance or relevant field of study
  • Experience: 10/12 years of relevant experience of which 3/4 years in senior supervisory positions
