Job Summery

The compliance officer will be responsible for all certifications, internal audits, trainings, rules & regulations and standards of MPS and Fairtrade/Flocert international and must know all the local and national rules, regulations and proclamations.

Job Requirement

  • Preferred qualification:
    • Degree in Management, Horticulture, Plant science, Business management, or a related fields
    • Minimum of 3 years in compliance roles, within the horticulture industry
    • Fluent level of English, both spoken and written.
    • Familiarity with international compliance standards, regulations and guidelines of MPS and Fairtrade
    • Record keeping skills
    • Knowledge and experience on health and safety
    • Excellent organizational and coordination skills
    • Ability to work effectively in a team and meet deadlines
    • Experience in being in internal committees like health and safety, gender, FPC etc
    • Proven expertise and experience in Microsoft Office
    • Excellent oral, writing, and editing skills, with extensive experience in report writing
    • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and thoroughness
    • Ability to work under minimal supervision, be proactive, initiative, and with sound judgment
    • High level of integrity and accountability, flexible approaches to work coupled with enthusiasm, commitment, and energy.

How to Apply

Ability to work in under high pressure in a multi cultural environment, to make to work independently and in groups. Ability to speak Oromifa is an advantage.
